OMGBD live baccarat: rules, bets and the table screen, question by question

Baccarat is one of the simplest-looking card games in the live casino, but the first time you sit at a table, "Player", "Banker", the third card and the colourful grid on screen raise questions. Below, each question gets a short answer first, then the details. This page only explains the rules; there is no way or strategy to win here, because no such thing exists.

What is baccarat, actually?

Short answer: a bet on which of two hands will get closer to 9.

Each round the dealer lays out two hands: one called "Player", the other called "Banker". Before the round starts, you choose which hand will win. If you think both hands will end up equal, you can also bet on "Tie". Whichever hand's total is closer to 9 wins.

Don't be misled by the names: "Player" doesn't mean you, and "Banker" doesn't mean the casino. They are just the names of the two hands on the table, and you can bet on either one.

A round goes roughly like this: the betting window opens on screen, you pick a chip and place it on the spot you want, the dealer reveals the cards when time is up, deals extra cards by the rules if needed, and then the winning hand is highlighted on screen. Winning bets are added to your balance, and the dealer resets the table for the next round. Because it all happens in front of you, the flow makes sense after watching once.

How are the cards counted?

Short answer: ace is 1, two to nine are face value, tens and picture cards are zero.

When a total reaches 10 or more, the tens digit is dropped and only the last digit counts. For example, 7 and 9 make 16, but in baccarat that hand is worth 6. A King and a 9 make a hand worth 9. So a hand's value never goes above 9.

When does a third card come, and do I have to decide?

Short answer: no, the dealer deals it by fixed rules.

Both hands start with two cards each. If either hand's first two cards total 8 or 9, that's called a "natural", and no more cards are dealt to either hand; the round ends there.

Without a natural, the Player hand goes first: on a total of 0 to 5 the Player gets a third card, on 6 or 7 it stands. The Banker hand then follows a fixed table that depends on the Banker's own total and the Player's third card. If the Player stood, the Banker draws on 0 to 5 and stands on 6 or 7.

You don't need to memorise the full table. Once your bet is placed, you have no further decisions; cards come by the rules, not by your choice. The full table is in the table rules or behind the "i" icon.

What happens to Player or Banker bets on a tie?

Short answer: on a standard baccarat table, Player and Banker bets are returned.

When both hands are equal, the Tie bet wins, and under standard rules bets on Player or Banker are returned. But table types can differ, and some special versions have an extra fee or different conditions. Each bet's payout, whether the Banker bet carries a commission, and how side bets (such as "pair") work are all written in the table's rules section. Read that once before you sit down; it's more reliable than this guide.

What's on the live table screen, and what does the roadmap show?

Short answer: the dealer's video, the betting timer, chips and a grid of past results.

The roadmap is only a record of the past. If one side has won several times in a row, the grid can't tell you in advance what happens next round. Avoid anyone selling a "roadmap strategy to win". For video buffering, black screens or "time up" messages, see the live casino guide.

What should you settle before sitting at a table for the first time?

  1. Decide how much money and how much time you'll play today before you sit down. Baccarat rounds finish quickly, so it's easy to lose track of time.
  2. Don't raise your stake to win back losses. It's the most common mistake.
  3. If you want to play with a bonus balance, first check how live games count under that offer's terms. There's a general overview in the bonus guide; the terms as shown in the lobby are what apply.
  4. Playing is entertainment, not a way to earn. Read about taking breaks and keeping limits on the responsible play page.

Does betting on Banker mean betting on the casino's side?

No. "Banker" is just the name of one hand on the table, exactly like "Player". You can bet on either. The payout and conditions of the two spots can differ, so check the table rules.

Can I bet on both Player and Banker in the same round?

Whether a table accepts bets on both sides is up to that table's rules. Even if it does, remember that one of the two will always lose; it doesn't reduce risk, it only raises the cost of playing.

Can the roadmap tell me the next result?

No. The roadmap is a record of past results, not a prediction. If someone on Telegram or Facebook offers "sure signals", don't believe them, and don't send them money.

I placed a bet but it wasn't counted in the round. Why?

Most likely your tap arrived after the timer ran out, especially on a weak network. Bet a little earlier rather than at the last second. If your balance was deducted but the bet doesn't show, take the lobby's bet record and a screenshot to live chat.

Who do I tell if the result and my balance don't match?

Only the lobby's own live chat. Give the table name, round time, registered number and a screenshot in one message. Examples of how to write it clearly are in the support guide. Never your password or OTP.
